We've just learned that the gorgeous and very bridal evening gown worn by our newest First Lady was designed by the young and up-and-coming designer Jason Wu. The gown is a departure for Mrs. Obama, who we have often seen in vibrant shades and tones of the rainbow. Personally, we here at SAFShops expected her to wear either a very regal purple gown or even a red dress. Even designers asked to create her look imagined her in richer hues.
Nonetheless, Michelle Obama was stunning last night in her white chiffon dream of a gown. For those of you newly engaged or looking for a prom dress, Jason Wu's gowns range in the $3,000 to $6,000 range, but this classically beautiful silhouette can be found at much more recessionista prices.
